Check out my crib in Snowy Seattle

Here’s a quick tour of our Pete Gross pad. It may look like I’m getting ready for a hike, but the backpack holds my daily hydration with Magnesium and Potassium. My Skin GVHD is practically gone so my doctors are slowly weaning me off of the steroids. I’m quite puffy in the face from the steroids as you can see from the video.

The only real issue these days are my platelets. I’ve been getting platelet transfusions almost every other day. I’ve heard that these guys are the slowest blood cells to come up. I get a platelet transfusion whenever they go below 20K (usually the threshold is much lower like 8K, but because of the chloroma in my head my doctors watch my platelets very closely). Honestly, this patient can’t complain. Life is so good right now!

p.s. Big shout out to Ann and Chris Gregory! I’m so happy Ann is back at home with her family for the holidays! You go girl.
