Just wanted to post a quick update on Michelle’s first radiation session. Michelle went in at 2pm today. It was supposed to only take about 30 minutes, but Michelle was in there for close to 90 minutes. The radiation therapy didn’t actually last the whole time. Apparently, the doctor wasn’t happy with some of the pre-measurements they had done before, so he wanted to redo some of them. Even though it was longer than expected, we’re glad that the team is being careful and precise. Hopefully, tomorrow’s session will be much shorter.

As expected, Michelle has been nauseous since we got home and has had some some trouble keeping her food down. Of course, we know though that this is how she’s going to get better. Michelle has been waiting for this day for a long time now and is glad to take the first step towards long-term health.
