This past Wednesday morning, our dear friend Vinay passed after courageously fighting leukemia for a year and half.  Our deepest condolences go to Rashmi and their family and friends.

I met Vinay my freshman year at Berkeley. I’ll always remember his laugh and that proud grin he had after a good joke. I am lucky to have had Vinay in my life.

Vinay is an inspiration to us. He and the HelpVinay team were committed to raising awareness on bone marrow registration in the South Asian community and helped register over 24,000 potential donors. You can read more about Vinay at www.helpvinay.org.

Vinay, Sameer, and too many others have left us much too soon. They will be missed by many.
